A Long Island Wine Tour and Tasting at Paumanok Vineyards
Saturday, September 13th, 2025, 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST
The Harvard Club of Long Island has arranged for a private tour and wine tasting of Paumanok Vineyards. Paumanok Vineyards is one of the premier vineyards on Long Island, as well as across New York State, having won the New York State Winery of the Year 4 times, the last being in 2023, when they also won the Governor’s Cup and Best Dessert Wine. They produce one of the broadest lines of high-quality wines on Long Island, including red, white, sparkling, dessert and non-alcoholic wines.
Paumanok is just one of 57 Long Island wine producers, with most of them residing on the North Fork between Riverhead and Greenport. Starting in the mid-seventies, the Long Island wine region has grown to become known worldwide, with many wines achieving ratings over 90 from the recognized wine critics.
The Harvard Club of LI Paumanok Tasting and Tour
The Tasting and Tour includes a tour of the winery and history of the vineyard as well as lunch (mixed sandwiches), bottled water, and of course, a wine tasting. You will have the chance to learn about growing wine on Long Island and why the North Fork is such a great place to grow wine. The tour will be led by Paumanok Winemaker Kareem Massoud and or Paumanok Founder and Proprietor, Charles Massoud.
