A Private Discovery Wetlands Cruise

Age minimum: 4 and up
A naturalist on board the 27-passenger vessel will narrate as we cruise through the Ward Melville Heritage Organization’s 88-acre wetlands preserve for 90 minutes. We will learn about the wildlife we observe, the natural and human history of the area, and the individuals and events that have shaped it.

Important Information About the Cruise
· Please arrive at 1:45pm to check in. The cruise will depart at 2:00pm sharp. We unfortunately cannot wait for late arrivals because the cruise operates on a strict tide
schedule.
· For safety reasons, all passengers must remain seated for the duration of the cruise.
· Rubber sole shoes are required for safety on the ramp. No heels.
· Dress accordingly as it is can be about 5 degrees cooler out on the water.
· Per Coast Guard regulations, no food or drink is permitted on the dock or on the boat except bottled water.
· Remember to bring binoculars!
· The boat is not handicap accessible. It is approximately 500 feet from the Town of Brookhaven Parking Lot to the location where the boat is docked.
Directions and Parking
If you are unfamiliar with the area, you can put the Three Village Inn at 150 Main Street, Stony Brook, New York into your GPS. Park in the Town of Brookhaven Parking Lot across the street from the Three Village Inn. Walk through the lot of Stony Brook Marine Services to get to the check-in location, a white gazebo off to the left in the back of the lot. Please DO NOT park inside (past the black fence) Stony Brook Marine Services.
