Overview:
This grant process is to provide current undergraduate students an opportunity to request up to $1,000 per student for a particular involvement in a non-profit, internship, or program from the Harvard Club of Long Island. This grant process is currently on a rolling basis for students as needs may arise. Students are requested to provide information about why they are requesting this grant and why it is important.
Criteria:
This grant process is for current fully matriculated undergraduate students who graduated from a Long Island high school that will be either doing work or studying on Long Island or somewhere else. This grant may be used for example during the summer, January term, a program during the semester, internship, nonprofit role.
- For students that are awarded the grant, the Harvard Club of Long Island has the following requirements:
- that the student becomes a member of the HCLI at no cost
- a written report is provided about the experience afterwards, describing it and what they learned
- The grant should be requested with at least a 6-week lead time prior to when the funds are needed. Emergency or extraordinary circumstances will be considered.
- A student may only be awarded one grant while attending Harvard.
